"Seasonal and well sourced dishes in a lovely historic building in the Lace Market, upstairs so away from the noise and bustle of Hockley. Good value for really good cooking, steaks are always popular"

"There is a timeless elegance about this place and everything in it. The service was good and friendly despite that needed attention of a large party. The presentation of the food is great and portions are nicely judged so as not to overwhelm the undoubted quality with quantity. The blade of beef was just awesome."

"The meal was let down by one very poor in edible steak, the long delay between starter and main courses and the poor response to the complaint about the steak. All the other three meals that night were good."
