The Lucky Onion empire’s village gastroboozer offers “the best country pub food in the area, bar none”; there are critics of the “unlovely” room, while the food “varies from good pub standard to much better than that”.
The “star” of the growing Lucky Onion empire is a “lovely” village gastropub-with-rooms whose “quality is unsurpassed for miles”; it offers “delicious” food that's “still fairly reasonably priced” and an “incredible wine list for a pub” overseen by a “knowledgeable sommelier”.
This popular gastropub-with-rooms offers “exceptional” food and “cocktails you’ll want again and again”, as well as the more usual wines and real ales; being a “lively” sort of place, it can get “quite noisy” at times.
This “terrific” gastropub-with-rooms (with a “lovely garden”) is “both stylish and laid back” (“dogs, humans, babies, no problem”), and attracts a crowd that’s “buzzy, but not local”, with its “delicious” food, “stunning” wines and “good real ales”.
Wheatsheaf Inn Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Perfectly pleasant, but failed to see what all the hype was about. Menu always slightly falls short for me and fails to excite me. Pretty village location though."
"A very good quality meal and attentive waiting without being imposing. Having a dedicated wine waiter for a gastro-pub is perhaps unusual but a nice touch. My wife and I went with friends and each had something different. The quality was high and it was enjoyable. The only downside was that our table was required for a second sitting and once our time was up the place was rammed full and there was nowhere at the bar to relax afterwards. Would go back."
