“Never fails to bring joy to my heart” – Paul Harwood’s “lovely, intimate, high-quality seafood restaurant” right “by the sea” on Fistral Beach again wins a big thumbs-up in reports: “super fresh fish” is the big deal you’d hope, for somewhere with top views of the surf and sands.

A “great seafood restaurant on Fistral Beach”, run by ex-Rick Stein alum Paul Harwood, where a “fantastic view of the ocean and the inspiring soundscape of waves and seagulls soaring” add to the “fabulous” ambience. The “tasty, light and wonderful” food (not least “fish perfectly cooked”) elicits nothing but praise but “due to its high demand you need to book in advance”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
