Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Remarkable value and delicious South Indian food” still dazzles at the Stoke Newington original of this small Keralan chain (the “decent and very convenient” branch near Oxford Circus is the next most popular). “The overall formula hasn’t evolved over the years” however, and ratings generally have declined – “please Rasa, mix it up!”
“Ridiculously affordable”, “delicately flavoured” (and “relatively healthy”) Keralan cooking still wins rave reviews for this small South Indian chain, whose Stokey original remains “a go-to local gem”.
“Aromatic, spicy and delicious South Indian food at brilliant prices” has won renown for this “consistently fabulous” and “charming” small chain; fans still say “you’ve got to head to Stoke Newington for the full effect”, but W1 is actually higher rated these days.
“Outstanding” dishes – many of them veggie – have carved out a huge name for this small Keralan chain, with the original (55 S N Church St) still often voted one of London’s best Indians; for some loyal fans, however, “it’s still a favourite”, but has seemed “less exciting and vibrant” of late.
