“A beautiful old gin palace” on a busy highway in deepest Shepherd’s Bush; the food is “variable” – at best “sensational”, at worst just “fine” – but a consistent draw is the “fabulous wine list” (NB “great deal on Mondays, with wine sold at retail prices”).
This “beautifully restored, Victorian gin palace” makes a “lovely” and “bustling” retreat from a busy highway, deep in Shepherd’s Bush; it’s become a major local destination thanks to its “enticing” food and “very strong wine list for a pub”.
“Large, light and airy”, this huge tavern, in deepest Shepherd’s Bush, “has the real feel of a Victorian gin palace to it”; the food is of consistent good quality, and there’s an “excellent wine list” too.
An “oasis” at the far end of Shepherd’s Bush, this “welcoming” gin palace, which has been beautifully restored, has a big name locally for its “refined” gastropub cuisine, and it offers a “surprisingly good” wine selection too.
