“Make sure you sit in the front garden” or the “nice covered terrace” to get the most out of this “lovely local”, not far from Notting Hill Gate. Despite the “fresh fish on display”, lots of regulars “only ever have pizza, which is very good indeed with lots of very fresh-tasting toppings”. “Nice gelato” too. And it’s “excellent value for the quality and area”.

“Always full for a good reason” – this “very friendly” and lively Notting Hill Italian has a large outside terrace and attractive covered area, and is one of the better, more affordable options in the ’hood (and they’re “great with kids”, too). Some regulars suggest that “the pizza is better than the rest of the menu”.

A “friendly Italian serving great fresh fish” (dramatically displayed in a chiller cabinet) – this Notting Hill local has a “real buzz” – and is “always reassuringly full of Italians”. It also serves “top pizza – among a lot of competition”, and a decent range of pasta dishes. There’s a “great year-round terrace with a roof which opens in the summer”.

Just off Notting Hill Gate, this “splendid staple” wins solid marks for “great pizza, pasta and more” – including a decent array of fish showcased in a chiller-cabinet. “Authentically Italian in its chaos and delicious food”, it’s also “fun and child-friendly”. The best seats are outside on the glorious terrace in summer (which is also very effectively covered in winter and bad weather).

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
