Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“The prices barely seem to have changed in the last 17 years” (similarly the drab decor) at these “grab-a-dish-from-the-belt” cafés, still popular “for a cheap, quick, sushi fix”. “The key to an enjoyable meal is to go when it’s busy when dishes are at their freshest and hottest”.
“Don’t go if you’re a sushi aficionado”, but “for a quick fix” these “old-timer” conveyor-cafés “tick every box for easy grub”.
“Don’t go if you want posh surroundings” but, “for a cheap sushi-fix”, these “run down and scruffy” conveyor-cafés do the job; their “generous” portions are “freshly made”, and “prices are good”.
“They don’t look much” (“like a hole in the wall”), the service is “basic”, and the food quality “mixed”, but this grungy conveyor-café chain is still hailed by fans as a “great place to satisfy a sushi-craving on the cheap”.
Kulu Kulu Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Not the most comfortable of eateries but the sushi is really tasty, and that's what you go here for."
"one of the best sushi bars in soho, no questions. it's not real sushi like Eat Tokyo but it's great street/fast food."
