Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
The “magical” Shepherd Market location “guarantees it will be full most of the time” and – “if you can get an outside table in the sunshine” – this “very very French” bistro is “hard to beat”. Its cooking is quite well-rated, but “the menu could do with a refresh”, and “there’s little sign of flair”.
“A beautiful Mayfair setting” (with many al fresco tables) and “festive” atmosphere ensures this Shepherd Market bistro remains “absolutely packed”; its menu of Gallic staples is “not cheap” though, and sceptics feel it’s now “trading on its location”.
“Prices seem to have increased dramatically over the years”, at this Shepherd Market bistro – fans say it’s still “worth it”, but critics find food and service standards ever more “ordinary”, although the al fresco tables are undoubtedly as charming as ever.
“Busy, cramped, and with bags of atmosphere”, this “very French” bistro remains a “reliable” old-favourite for most reporters (and it has some great al fresco tables in Shepherd Market); critics, however, find the cuisine “undemanding”, and complain of “Parisian attitude” on the service front.
Boudin Blanc Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Stylish restaurant with good food and stylish service but the costs of wine from the printed list are eyewatering, quite ridiculous.Only the very rich and those on expense accounts would pay these prices."
"Food was OK but not much better and very expensive. Wine was a different year to that ordered and was told when asked that they had run out. But guest what they found the last bottle. Not sure why its so busy"
