For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
Fans insist these Gallic bistro-cafés offer “excellent” breakfasts in a “cosy” but “lively” setting; more generally, though, reporters feel the food is “uninspiring”, service “struggling” and prices “scandaludicrous”.
Perhaps “more refined” than many rivals, but these Gallic café/bistros are increasingly seen as a “wasted opportunity” – for the “indifferent” overall experience, critics find prices “absurd”.
