Nov 2016 - no sign of life walking past on a Tuesday evening
Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
On the plus-side this “out-on-a-limb” Imperial Wharf Thai has “romantic” lush jungle décor, and nice waterside views; there are significant negatives too though – “it’s not a patch on the old one in Fulham Broadway”, and prices are OTT (“you could find better value in Mayfair without trekking to Chelsea Harbour!)”
Fans say the new location by Chelsea Harbour “works well” (“especially on a sunny day”), but this celebrated Thai (which moved from Fulham Broadway a couple of years ago) is still attracting mixed reports; as ever, the buffet-style Sunday brunch is the top attraction.
Fans do vaunt the “lovely location overlooking Chelsea Harbour”, but it’s difficult to avoid the conclusion that this grand Thai institution has “lost its mojo” since it moved to the fringes of Fulham; the Sunday buffet, in particular, “just doesn’t taste the same”.
