“A surprising and welcome find in Lavender Hill” – Damien Fremont and Christopher Nespoux’s “homely” yet “truly exceptional” French three-year-old provides an “enthusiastic” welcome, and “adds a real level of quality” to the local eating destinations. “If you can, go for the tasting menu for some really sublime dishes, and there are some brilliant accompanying wines”.
Gastronhome Restaurant Diner Reviews
"The service was first class and the cooking matched it. Take time and try the tasting menu and the accompanying wines. The beef dish was flavoursome mixing beautifully cooked hanger steak coupled with unctuous slow cooked cheeks. The hay froth on the chestnut and pumpkin raviole was delicious. The cheese course surprised and the pear desert was a fantastic combination with the salted caramel setting off the pear brilliantly. The Sancerre and the Sauternes are both top notch as is the champagne offered as an appetiser"
"Amazing food and service but the decor lets it down."
"We were pleasantly surprised to discover this excellent restaurant in rather an unprepossessing part of Lavender Hill. The set lunch was very good, with lots of interesting flavours and textures and the service was attentive and well-informed. It deserves to do well and we'll definitely return."
