Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
This low-key Italian is a well-established fixture – particularly on the St James’s business lunch scene – with a “mainstream, satisfying” menu of modern classics that “never disappoints”, and which is “good value” for this part of town.
“I thought it would be incredibly expensive given its looks and location!” – but this low-key St James’s Italian “gives good value in an area bereft of such options”, and, in particular, “for a central working lunch”, it’s ideal.
Notably “unpretentious” by St James’s standards (and “not overpriced either”), a “reliable” and “usefully located” Italian that comes recommended for lunch, business or pre-theatre.
Fans say it offers “good modern cooking at reasonable prices”, but this St James’s Italian has quite a few critics too – they find the style “nondescript” and service “cold”.
