“An enormous, light room overlooking Borough Market” provides the “dynamic” location for this “showcase for British produce”; a shame, then, that the food’s “so distinctly average” – “only breakfast’s really worth eating” – and that service can be “very poor”.

Sadly, this particular Roast looks as if it may have been cooking too long. Admittedly, the kitchen seems to care about its ingredients, and the appealing menu makes all the right fashionable noises...
