Breaking news

August 2020: caught between lack of Arsenal crowds and landlords lacking understanding, both pie shops have closed, although they hope to reopen in a new location at some point.

Harden's says

Arsenal's pie shop and deli have opened a second permanent branch (they have a stall near the Emirates Stadium on match days) in King's Cross; expect the same old-school tiled décor, all 15 pies on the Holloway Rd original menu, craft beers and a lot more seating.

* Based on a three course dinner, half a bottle of wine, coffee, cover charge, service and VAT.

“Prime pies” named after legendary Gunners are available at the Holloway shop on Arsenal match days and full-time at the King’s Cross venue. Their quality makes for “a pleasant surprise – with vegetarian options no afterthought”, and there’s also Scotch eggs, craft beers and cider.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
