“Real old Upper Street favourites”, these Ottoman-themed Turkish cafés are “buzzy, bustling and loud – so you have to be in the right mood”. Arguably the cheap scoff is a tad “routine” nowadays, but on most accounts, you still get “plentiful food at reasonable prices” and a fair dose of “fun”.

“Buzzy and friendly” (if “cramped and noisy”) Turkish bistros – a micro empire with three nearby sites in Islington; their mezze-biased menu includes “all the favourites” at easygoing prices.
They may look “cramped” and slightly “clapped out”, but these “retro” Turkish bistros, in Islington, offer “deliciously filling” mezze at “bargain” prices, in a “cheerful” and “friendly” setting.
