VQ is bringing its 24-hour charm (alongside upmarket dim sum vendors Shikumen) to the City, as part of the new Dorsett City London hotel by Aldgate East.
Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs”… “great veggie fry-ups” – that’s the kind of all-day breakfast food that’s “always reliable” at these 24/7 diners. The ancient SW10 branch is the best known, while the new Notting Hill branch isn’t actually open the whole 24 hours (but is still handy if you fancy a full English in W11 at 2am).
“Just the place for breakfast after a 5am release from hospital… a nightclub… the cells” – these dependable diners (the age-old SW10 original, and newer WC1 spin-off) serve “classic”, “simple” fodder, 24/7.
“Breakfast, at any time!” – the special feature of this long-established 24/7 Chelsea diner, which now has an offshoot in Bloomsbury.
A Chelsea fixture; London’s original 24/7 restaurant is “pretty good” for somewhere that never sleeps, and breakfast, in particular, is “superb”; as we to go press, a new branch is set to open in Bloomsbury.
