Bar Battu

The Survey ResultDiary

2012 Review: “A true find in the heart of the City”; thanks to its “esoteric wines at sensible prices” – and its “honest bistro cooking” too – this “vibey” year-old bar/restaurant is already being hailed as “a real lunchtime staple”.

  • The Telegraph Zoe Williams (29th November 2010)
    6.5/10

Bar Battu has a pleasant, functional feel, like an after-work wine bar, the lighting just dark enough to be flattering, but not so dark that colleagues will lose all restraint and start snogging. It's popular and quite zingy. The service is very enthusiastic, especially on the subject of the wine list; it's all organic, and some of it is biodynamic, which means it doesn't give you a hangover.
