“Very keen pricing” ensures that this “long-standing Vietnamese” canteen on a busy stretch of Shoreditch’s Kingsland Road is always hopping, its sharing tables crammed with customers wolfing down pho and other Viet dishes.
“It’s Spartan and hurried”, but this Shoreditch canteen with sharing tables does provide “delicious” Vietnamese grub: “the pho’s the thing here, but other dishes are worth trying, too”.
“It looks a bit like a Hanoi works canteen”, but “if you don’t mind full-on and sharing tables”, fans say you get “wonderful, no frills” chow at this Shoreditch Vietnamese; critics, though, “expect more” – they say the food’s “not as fresh and delicate as it used to be”.
“It’s a bit of a canteen, but you will be fed in the best possible way”, and at “low prices” too, say fans of this “brusque” Vietnamese, in Shoreditch; sceptics, though, say standards are “slipping” and that its cooking is “not competitive with others in the strip”.
