These potentially classy cafés occupy some great sites, such as the “terrific space” in the V&A, and the “happening” BFI branch; too often, however, the setting is a “wasted asset”, given the “awful” service, and food (from sarnies and coffee to grander fare) that’s “so ordinary and expensive”.
