Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
Martin Wishart’s “lovely restaurant in an amazing setting on Loch Lomond” has beautiful views and is extremely “romantic” (“we felt like we were the only people on Earth!”) Prices and/or portion size inspired flak in some reports this year, but most feedback is rapturously positive, describing “food and service that’s always fantastic”.
Martin Wishart's “small and intimate” country house hotel dining room is “still hitting the high spots”, from its “stunning” food (“especially the tasting menus”), to its “friendly but discreet staff” and Loch Lomond views; by all accounts it's “well worth even a very long detour!”
“Lovely views of Loch Lomond” are undoubtedly a major draw to Martin Wishart’s “light” and “bright” country house hotel dining room, but by all accounts the food is “amazing” too.
“Everything about this restaurant is faultless”, say fans of Martin Wishart's “beautiful” dining room, overlooking Loch Lomand (which feels “far nicer than the heavily tartan’d, rather dour” country house hotel it sits within); although pricey, the food is “superb”.
