2009 Review: “Freshly-cooked” Indian food (“with liberal use of spices”) – plus “kind and inviting” service – wins an enthusiastic following for this BYO operation in the Old Town; it moved location in recent times, and the only gripe is that some people preferred its old, more basic style!

STOP PRESS: Note (September 2009): Following a fire this restaurant has temporarily moved to 32b West Nicholson Street.

  • The Telegraph Mark Palmer (25th September 2007)
    5/10 points

The critic ventures off to Aulk Reekie to revue a veteran Indian that offers ‘“faultlesss” fare at “remarkably reasonable” prices. To no one’s great surprise, it turns out to be more a place “to have fun” than one for “an intimate dinner à deux”.
