Bruce Wass’s “very rural” inn by the South Downs, is “increasingly a restaurant rather than a pub nowadays (although it still has all the facilities a pub would provide” including a “super play area for kids” in the “charming garden”); whatever you call it, it’s “worth tracking down”.
