Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Tucked away in a small cul-de-sac”, this shabby-chic Clifton Village bistro has been “a favourite for over 20 years”; it’s tipped for its yummy cakes, “great evening meals” (with a Med slant), and “great al fresco brunch on a sunny day!”
This “friendly, shabby-chic” Clifton Village spot is “not in any way a café” in some people’s books – instead, a “rather nice bistro”. Whatever the correct nomenclature, it offers “very well-executed” Med-inspired cooking, as well as “unfailingly attractive cakes”; “get a table at the window and watch the world go by”.
“Don't be fooled by the name or the furniture” – this Clifton Village café offers some “imaginative and excellent” food (a “slightly Mediterranean take on Modern British”) and “very cheery” service to boot; “on a nice evening, sit outside and enjoy the good life”.
A cute Clifton Village café, under the same ownership for twenty years; it comes highly recommended as a “wonderful place for lunch”, and also by night when it serves some “beautifully judged” more ambitious cooking.
