The RI is the renowned Mayfair science institution where Michael Faraday discovered electricity and set up the famous Christmas Lectures. A recent major redevelopment has transformed the building into an exciting and inspiring venue, providing a unique mix of historic and modern spaces. The Faraday Theatre has been fitted out with new seating, AV and lighting, making it ideal for conferences, award shows, and screenings. The elegant Georgian rooms provide the perfect backdrop for dinners and parties while there is also a selection of smaller meeting rooms available. A new addition to the building is the stunning glass atrium which is ideal for drinks receptions. The venue now also has a wedding licence for civil ceremonies and partnerships. Delegates and guests are welcome to visit the free museum and relax in Time & Space, the new café, bar and restaurant run by the in-house caterers Digby Trout.
