Rebuilt in 1970, the Grocers Company’s accommodation, by the Bank of England, emerged relatively unscathed by the period’s style-horrors. The Piper Room, named after the designer of its striking modern wall-hangings, may be used for a reception or dinner. The Livery Hall (with medieval gates) is an unusual modern re-creation of traditional style.
