Impressive historical building in the City of London Guildhall complex includes the Great Hall, Old Library, Crypts, Guildhall Art Gallery and Basinghall Suite which can all be hired for private events. As the home of the City of London Corporation, Guildhall has entertained world leaders and continues to provide a splendid venue for state banquets. It hosts a unique mix of both civic and ceremonial affairs, local and national government business and private functions. The City has a long and fascinating history - the Corporation itself is over 800 years old and while fulfilling its role as a modern local authority, it respects and preserves its rich historical legacy. Traditions such as the Lord Mayor's Show and the Freedom of the City bring London's history to life. From September 2008, a new space, the Old Museum will be available to hire for conferences, meetings, receptions and dinners.
