While the Restaurant Rémys pay tribute to twenty quality dining establishments around the UK, this year we are delighted to present a special Excellence Award to Tom Aikens, based in the heart of London's Chelsea.

Since opening in Spring 2003, Tom Aikens has swiftly become a destination restaurant, thanks to its modern twist on French cuisine and its consistent and friendly service.

Tom Aikens was the youngest-ever recipient of two Michelin stars as Head Chef and co-proprietor at Pied à Terre in London. He subsequently went on to work as private chef to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sir Anthony and Lady Bamford, before venturing out with his own eponymous opening.

Front of house is Tom’s Finnish born wife Laura, who gained wide experience in restaurant management, at L’Escargot, Pied à Terre and The Capital. Laura says, "We hope that our customers will return time and again, and when they do we will welcome them by name, remember their favourite dishes and make them feel special. That is very important."
